Penn State subscribes to over 100+ databases...So how the heck can you ever figure out which one provides access to the journal that you want?

Visit JAKE (I do, almost daily!) Type a journal title into JAKE, and it will show you all of the commerical electronic databases that provide access to your journal in citation form or full-text. Armed with your knowledge from JAKE, your next step is to visit the PSU Libraries' E-Resource list, and see if we subscribe to one of the databases listed as having your journal.

Of course, if this is too cumbersome a process, you could always email me for help!

(Reminder to self to update the JAKE link on the Libraries' CAS pages.)

CIOS also provides an up-to-date listing of the Tables of Contents from current Communication journals.

What I like best about this service is that you can see the major subject areas of each new article, enabling you to immediately search for other articles in the CIOS database on that topic.
Did You Know...
CIOS now offers FREE full-text access to the following journals:

Australian Journal of Communication (1986-2001)
Communication Reports (1995-2001)
International Journal of Listening (1987-2000)
Journal of Communication & Religion (1978-2001)
Womens Studies in Communication (1996-2002)

To view the full-text of articles from these journals, you will first need to download the DjVu browser plug-in.
